5. Sampling:
5 % or minimum one container shall be randomly selected for sampling.
100g shall be drawn from each selected container and shall be mixed homogenously, called as primary sample.
100g shall be drawn from primary sample called as Laboratory sample.
6. Definitions:
Extraneous matter: includes stones, dust, dirt, parts of dried fruits and leaf, etc.
Void nuts: in which there are no kernels.
Immature nuts: the nuts, the kernels of which are not properly developed and/or shriveled.
Damaged and discolored nuts: the nuts containing discolored kernels, decayed, diseased and broken nuts or mechanical injury, materially affecting the quality.
